Investor Frank Otto relies on hemp

The investment in hemp has paid off: CannaCare Health GmbH from Düsseldorf, whose majority shareholder is the Hamburg media entrepreneur Frank Otto, is now listed with its CBD oils in 2200 ROSSMANN drugstores. Since February 2020, the cannabis oil extracted from the female hemp plant has been on the shelves of ROSSMANN stores nationwide under the brand name CANOBO, and demand has clearly exceeded expectations. Customers can choose between product variants with a concentration of 2.75 and 5 percent cannabidiol (CBD).

CBD is the non-psychoactive component of the hemp plant. It does not cause high or addiction and is classified by the WHO as harmless and beneficial to health. The oils marketed under the brand name CANOBO are classified as dietary supplements, its users appreciate the fast starting beneficial effects. Some take it to reduce stress or to fall asleep better, others to alleviate jet lag – like the much-travelled entrepreneur Frank Otto.
